  • Successful Strategies

    • Foodservice upgrades increased from five in 2012 to 34 in 2013 as a result of increased outreach and marketing to restaurant and hospitality customers.
    • Custom projects, many resulting from free technical studies, comprised 41 percent of commercial sector savings.
    • Homeowners installed 94 gas hearths in 2013, a 24 percent increase over 2012. Dedicated outreach to trade associations and dealer networks and new marketing materials helped get the word out about the offer.
    • Residential customers installed 192 high-efficiency gas furnaces, producing one-third of the Existing Homes program’s savings and more than doubling the savings achieved in 2012.
    • The number of ENERGY STAR® new homes constructed in 2013 increased by 22 percent over 2012, with 231 homes completed.
    • Consumers purchased 846 high-efficiency gas clothes washers, offered jointly with Clark Public Utilities, an increase of 31 percent from 2012.
    • Energy Trust’s Trade Ally Network serving Washington customers continued steady growth with 18 new trade allies entering the network in 2013.
