“Oregonians rely on Energy Trust of Oregon to get more from their energy in homes and businesses. With proven expertise and a focus on innovation, we deliver.”

Each year, Energy Trust grows more adept at connecting all types of customers with the benefits of energy savings and renewable generation. While we’ve developed the expertise to know what works, we’ve also nurtured a commitment to embrace innovation and seek out new opportunities. It’s a combination that serves us well.

Our unique approach allows us to deliver on our energy-efficiency and renewable power generation goals while keeping costs low. It also helps provide utility customers with the cheapest, cleanest energy for their homes and businesses.

Last year, with a portfolio of established programs, new initiatives and strong utility collaboration, we continued 12 years of momentum. We also developed new resources such as access to affordable financing. And we adapted quickly to new opportunities and market changes, such as the new construction market rebound.

In 2013, we invested $129 million to help customers conserve energy, generate renewable power and save $309 million on their energy bills. The jobs created and additional wages paid as a result of our work make families, businesses and communities stronger. And the benefits from fewer carbon emissions and improved air quality allow us all to breathe easier.

I invite you to explore this report to see how these benefits play out for people and businesses across the state, and meet a few of the many customers we served in 2013. Jun Suzuki and Jackie Kohon improved their Portland home with a series of energy-efficiency upgrades. LED lighting brightened the bottom line for Hanscam’s Bowling Center in Klamath Falls. And JC-Biomethane near Junction City became the state’s first post-consumer food waste biogas generating plant.

Collaborating with Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas, local businesses and other organizations, we supported energy projects at 69,000 homes, businesses, farms, ranches and other sites. We are honored to help improve customers’ lives by delivering clean, reliable and affordable energy.

Thank you for the opportunity to share this report of our growing impact.
